The Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation is an important governing equation in computational micromagnetics. Its efficient solver is crucial in finding ground state and resolving the dynamics of the magnetisation in a given magnet, which further has wide applications in designing next generation storage device, etc. In this talk, a framework of numerical solutions of Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation, consisting of a structure preserving temporal discretisation and a finite element spatial discretisation, is introduced. Several numerical issues towards developing an O(N) algorithm are discussed in detail. The numerical performance of our algorithm is demonstrated by several experiments, following by the recent progress in this work.

报告人简介:

胡光辉博士目前为澳门大学科技学院数学系副教授。研究领域为偏微分方程数值方法 的设计分析、算法的高性能实现、及在计算物理问题中的应用,发表研究论文 40 余篇。目前主持国家自然科学基金、澳门科技发展基金等多个项目,为 SCI 杂 志 Commun. Comput. Phys. 及 Advan. Appl. Math. Mech. 编委。
